| Hello everyone, well here is another news
letter trying to keep the membership up to date. We had a board meeting
last Thursday at the lovely home of Mary Lucas and I thank you Mary for
your hospitality. The board discussed nominees for future board members
to take the place of retiring members, and I ask you once again ladies
to volunteer it's not hard and I know there are so many with so much to
offer so please contact Jeannie Parsley or myself and we will be very
pleased to run through the details with you. Our next general meeting
will be at Brackenridge on Friday 3rd March it will start at 8-15 and it
will be specifically to vote on new board members, please attend it is
important and of course afterwards we will have our usual play day.
Teresa Ramirez our social tournament chair you will remember did a
wonderful job at our Christmas play day, well now we can look forward to
the spring awards day as she has arranged yet another wonderful day for
us. We will be playing at Canyon Springs on Monday 15th May. Teresa will
be sending out fliers but just to wet your appetite I can tell you golf,
carts, food, GPS, and prizes are all included for around $60 could be a
little less, but it will be so much fun, so if you would like to be
included please contact Teresa as soon as possible as there might be a
limit on how many can attend !!.
I apologize for not having the directories ready yet but we will be
putting all relevant information on our website so you can keep up to
date with things. The City tournament will as usual be the first week in
June, this year hopefully at Brackenridge but PJ Wright our special
tournament chairlady will be sending out information shortly. PJ also is
going to give the match play one more shot and again she will soon be
giving out the details, I think you might feel that her idea is good and
hopefully we can even get more participants.
Well ladies I have tried to cover most things and as I have said you
can look at the web site for specifics and I will always be glad to
answer any questions you may have just call me.
Have a great golfing year, see you all soon, Jennifer. |
