SAWGA GENERAL MEETING MINUTES

MAY 23, 2011

President Syd Muenster called the meeting to order. The previous meeting minutes were posted online for all to read. Gayle Fisk made a motion to accept the minutes as posted, after a correction was made to her name from Fiske to Fisk. Sandy Hogan seconded and the motion was passed.

Syd gave the treasurer’s report and the membership report. Currently our treasury balance is $2,381.18 and our membership stands at 111, with two new members pending. She then gave a State of SAWGA address. She noted strong leadership as the key to our success this year and acknowledged each officer’s and chairperson’s contributions to the organization. She noted that we were able to contribute to the battered women’s shelter at Christmas, with the donations coming from members in lieu of exchanging gifts and hopes that contribution will become a tradition.

EOY awards were presented by Sue Marmion in the form of gift cards. Terry Lambert said that all winners would be posted on the SAWGA website and from there any member who was not present today to receive her award could get in touch with Sue. Terry indicated the online registration trial was an official success and subsequently all registration will be done online . The membership brochure will soon be on the website.
