SAWGA GENERAL MEETING MINUTES

December 13, 2010
Republic Golf Course

The meeting was called to order by President Syd Muenster at 8:55 AM.

The minutes of the meeting held 8/30/2010 were read and accepted as read. The motion was made by: 1st Mary Malone, 2nd Mary Lucas.

The treasury balance forwarded by Sue Marmion is $4907.51. There is also a net of $5.20 from today’s play.

Membership now stands at 103 members.

Susan Powell reported that the first Friday schedule has been finalized for the rest of the season with January’s being held at Briggs Ranch Golf Course. The cost is $100 plus tax and will include lunch. Others on the schedule include the Quarry, Oak Hills, Canyon Springs, and River Crossing.

Gayle Fisk thanked Barb Hemmi for all her work in Gayle’s absence.

Peggy Baker asked for volunteers for the nominating committee and got 3 ladies to help, Donna Brady, Rona Wilson and Sandy Hogan.

Mary Lucas related the details for the WTGA Eclectic Tournament on March 1 and 2 at Canyon Springs. She says to please check the SAWGA website for the entry information soon. Also, Texas Senior Women’s Golf Assoc. tournament will be held at Fair Oaks Ranch Golf and Country Club. Format will be Match Play. On 4/30/10 registration will begin.

Old business: Online registration is up and running. Please use it to register for SAWGA activities. The updated By-laws and Standing Rules have been posted. Procedural Guidelines have also been added. And the President reminds committee persons to review theirs and make changes if necessary.

Peggy Baker collected toiletries for the Battered Women’s shelter and an afghan made by Gayle Fisk was auctioned off. It brought in $300.00 for the Shelter.

Announcements: Syd’s eagle on hole #16 at Republic Golf Course was acknowledged.

New business: None

We wish to acknowledge Nancy White for all her service to SAWGA and wish her well in her recovery. Please think of sending her Christmas Greetings.

Today’s play will be gross and net in flights. Winners will be announced at the luncheon.
