SAWGA EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING MINUTES
JULY 7, 2008

Meeting was called to order by President, Jeanne Parsley.

Board Members present: Karen Antis, Peggy Baker, Gayle Fisk, Mary Lucas, Jeanne Parsley, Bay Ponseigo, Cindy Tuerk, Irene White, Nancy White, PJ Wright.

Board Members absent: Susan Powell, Linda Stahl, Linda Smythe, and Grace Walker.

Note on prior board minutes—the August Coffee, for old, new and prospective members, is called the Tee-Off Coffee.

There were no officer’s reports.

Nancy White—Topic—Budget. She explained her spread sheets and pointed out areas where we were over and under budget in ’06-’07 budget. Should be balanced by EOY. Should have a balance of $2,000.00 at EOY. Nancy went over 2008-2009 budget line-by-line. There was discussion on many points. She also passed around the current bank statement.

Irene motioned that we accept the budget as presented (and changed by discussion) and Mary Lucas seconded the motion. Motion carried.

We discussed publicity and it was determined that each event chairperson is responsible for press releases, pictures, publicity for her event.

The Board reviewed the SAWGA Standing Rules. Gayle will make changes as discussed to the 2008-09 directory before sending to printing.

The Christmas Play Day/Luncheon will be December 15th. PJ and Grace will chair the event. Course is yet to be determined.

It was suggested that we ask Grace to send out a birthday e-mail to honor SAWGA individuals. Also suggested that our minutes be posted to general membership for their information and also include them on the website.

Before the Sunshine chair (Carole Buss) announces illness, etc. of any members, she needs to contact that person to see if she wants to release that info to our general membership. This item to be discussed at the August Coffee.

Last Monday’s format was discussed. Nancy White will introduce different formats for those days.

Nancy White provided each board member with SAWGA business cards. To promote SAWGA membership, we are encouraged to give the cards to any women golfers we meet.

No further business was discussed and Peggy Baker motioned for meeting to be adjourned. Motion was seconded and carried.
