Brackenridge Municipal Golf Course, June 6,7& 8 (June 9, rain date)

NOTICE TO COMPETITORS/PLAYERS
LOCAL RULES AND CONDITIONS OF COMPETITION

COMPETITION: 54-hole stroke play competition. The Rules of the United States Golf Association govern play. The USGA rules supercede the local rules on the scorecard.

TEEING GROUND: Play will be from the RED TEES

SCORECARDS: To be turned in at the finishing table located at the scoreboard outside the clubhouse.
Be sure to verify your scores hole by hole and turn in with 2 signatures on the card.

TIES: a sudden victory play-off beginning on No. 1 tee will break a tie for the Championship and Senior Championship. Matching scorecards for the lowest score for the last nine holes will break all other ties.

CLOSE OF COMPETITION: The competition shall be deemed to have closed when the trophy has been presented to the winner or, in the absence of a prize ceremony, when the committee has approved all scores.

TIME OF STARTING: (Note to Rule 6-3) If the player arrives at her starting point, ready to play, within five minutes after her starting time, in the absence of circumstances which warrant waiving the penalty of disqualification as provided in Rule 33-7, the penalty for failure to start on time is two strokes for the first hole played. Penalty for lateness beyond five minutes is disqualification.

LIST OF CONFORMING GOLF BALLS: The ball the player uses must be named on the current List of Conforming Golf Balls issued by the USGA.

PACE OF PLAY: Rule 6-7 states: "The player shall play without undue delay." Therefore, if a group is behind time (15 minutes per hole) and has lost its position in the field, the officials will inform the group and begin timing the individuals in the group. Specifically, a player will be allowed 35 seconds to play her shot once it is her turn. Penalty for breach of the Rule in stroke play: first offense, one stroke, second offense, two strokes; third offense, disqualification.

SECOND BALL: Before involving Rule 3-3- Check the area or call the clubhouse for a rules official. If one is not available then during play of a hole a competitor is doubtful of her rights or procedure, she may, without penalty, play a second ball. The competitor must, before taking further action, announce to her marker or fellow-competitor her decision to invoke the Rule and the ball she will score with if the rules permit. The competitor shall report the facts to the Committee before returning her scorecard. If she fails to do so, she is disqualified.

MOTORIZED TRANSPORTATION: A motorized cart is part of the player's equipment: when two players share one cart, the cart and everything in it are deemed to be the equipment of the player whose ball is involved.

CADDIES: A Player may have one caddy only. Anyone riding in the cart with the player is deemed to be a caddy.

RANGE FINDERS: May be used for distance only, not wind or elevation. The penalty for the wind and elevation finder is disqualification.

OUT OF BOUNDS: Defined by inside points, at ground level, of white stakes and fence posts. Out of bounds identified by a white line on the ground, the line itself is out of bounds.

WATER HAZARDS: Identified by yellow stakes and defined by yellow lines.

LATERAL WATER HAZARDS: Identified by red stakes and defined by red lines.

GROUND UNDER REPAIR: Defined by white lines.

SODDED AREAS-EARTH CRACKS: except in a hazard, if a ball is in or touches a sod seam or earth crack, (the size of your fore finger), the player may, without penalty, lift the ball, clean it and drop it.

WOOD CHIPS AND MULCH: are loose impediments

EMBEDDED BALL THROUGH THE GREEN: "Through the green", a ball which is embedded in its own pitch-mark in the ground, other than sand, may be lifted without penalty, cleaned and dropped as near as possible to where it lay but not nearer the hole.
