August 2003 Newsletter
By Audrey Westbrook

Welcome to a new year.  As your new President I am looking forward to a great year of fun and friends on the golf course.  Summer is rapidly coming to an end, the kids are ready to get back to school and we are ready to start our new season.  I'm not sure how I got this job but with all of you helping, we will have a great year.  My hope is to see more of our members participate in both the Friday Play Days and our Last Monday Tournaments.  As usual we will kick off the new year with our Tee Off Coffee at Barbee Winn's home on August 22.  Directions to Barbee's house:  Take interstate 10 to the Johns Road exit, then go left over the highway.  Turn left (east) on the frontage road.  Drive until you come to the gate with horses on each side.  Turn in and drive to the house.  It's quite a ways back so don't give up.  You'll know it when you get there.  It's a big lovely house.  The coffee starts and 9:30a.m.  Hope to see you all there.

Match play has begun and will continue until Oct. 31.  The results will be posted at Brackenridge.  Awards will be presented at the Christmas luncheon.

Membership forms have been sent out via email.  Please be sure to include new phone numbers, addresses, and E-mail changes.  Dues can be paid at the coffee or mailed to Yolanda.  Her address is on the form.

If you have any questions please feel free to call one of the board members (see directory for telephone numbers):
